Ever since the release of ROBLOX, it has grown exponentially. You can now create your own games or join a game to play with friends. But when it comes to updates, most people don’t know how to do them for their games. This guide will teach you how to update ROBLOX so you can play your favorite games on the latest version and be sure that your game is running smoothly. From updating libraries and scripts to creating custom items and models, this guide will teach you everything you need to know about updating your favorite game in ROBLOX.
Introducing ROBLOX 2.0
ROBLOX 2.0 was released on December 1, 2016. With it came a whole new way for developers to build games and interact with their players in the game. It also introduced a vast array of new features, like building support and improved chat, to help make your game more immersive and interactive.
But what is ROBLOX 2.0? And why should you update your game?
ROBLOX 2.0 is the newest version of ROBLOX’s software platform and is compatible with all current games that are on ROBLOX today. This means that if you have a game on ROBLOX today, it will be automatically updated when ROBLOX 2.0 launches!

How to update your ROBLOX game
ROBLOX is constantly updating its game library so that it’s always running smoothly. But how do you update your game when updates are released?
There are a few different ways to get ROBLOX to update your game. You could go in-game and change the number of players, add new items, or even delete old scripts. If that doesn’t work for you, there’s also a way to force ROBLOX to do the update for you.
In this post, we’ll show you how to run the update process in the simplest way possible. We’ll walk you through the entire process from start to finish so that you can get your game updated without any hassle.
Update scripts and libraries
Scripts and libraries are the backbone of ROBLOX. They’re what make your game run, so it’s important that you keep them updated.
Scripts and libraries are separate from the executable files (the files that actually run the game). In order to update scripts and libraries, you must download the latest version of ROBLOX. If your game is currently running on version 2.9, you must update to 3.0 or higher before you can update your scripts and libraries.
ROBLOX updates their version once every two months with most new features going in each time. So if you want to be on the latest version of ROBLOX, make sure you’re updating your scripts and libraries every two months!
Update your items
Content updates are the most common update in ROBLOX. Usually, content updates happen once every week or two and can be for a specific item, part of a group of items, group of players, or even an entire room.
When you update your items, you should make sure to change anything that’s changed in the newest version of ROBLOX. For example, if a new feature was added in the newest version of ROBLOX, you’d want to update your item with that new feature. Some features might have been renamed or completely removed; this is where updating your items would come into play. If something was renamed in the newest version of ROBLOX and you don’t see it listed as an option when updating your item, it means that it has been removed from ROBLOX altogether. The feature might still be available but it will just be called something different like “Mystery Box” instead of “Bonus Chest.”
Keep in mind that there are some times when you won’t be able to update a specific item in ROBLOX due to system limitations: for instance if an administrator updated an object’s name and you can’t bring back its old name on your own. In this case, you’ll need
Update your models and custom items
Most ROBLOX games require models and custom items to be updated with new content. The game will automatically download the newest versions of these things when you first join a game, but you can update them at any time. Here’s how to update your models and custom items in ROBLOX:
1) Open the Models and Custom Items window. This is located in the GameScripts tab by default, so click on it if you don’t see it.
2) Click on the Upload button in the top left-hand corner. This will open up a screen that looks like this:
3) Click on the folder icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen for your model or item and select a new model or item from your computer. Once it has loaded up, click on Save Changes to update your model or item with new content!
4) You might also want to change what tier you’re uploading that particular thing into so other players can use it. To do this, click on Set as Default Model Tier and choose which tier you would like to set it as default for from the drop down menu. For example, if I wanted my model to be set as Tier One, I
Update RoBLOX can be a difficult task, but it is not impossible. Instead of waiting for a publisher update, you can take the time to update your game on your own and make the experience better for your players.
