I am a PhD student and teaching assistant in the Expertise Centre for Digital Media (EDM) lab at Hasselt University in Belgium. My research interests lie at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction and Ubiquitous Computing. I work with Professors Karin Coninx and Kris Luyten.

For my PhD, I am investigating techniques that help users understand what is happening in their Ubicomp environment and that allow them to intervene if necessary. I believe that improving understanding and control will be necessary to make Ubicomp environments usable, predictable and safe for users.

I have also previously done research on multi-device user interfaces. For more details about my work, have a look at my list of publications.
